Those affected by the actions of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein want to meet with King Charles III of Great Britain, because of the connections of his brother, the former Prince Andrew, with the criminal. This was reported on April 4 by The Washington Post (WP).

"What was intended as a ceremonial visit risks turning into a test of the monarchy's willingness to confront one of the most complex and protracted disputes in the history of the royal family," the publication says.

The meeting is proposed to be organized during the king's state visit to Washington, dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States. The family of one of Epstein and Andrew's alleged victims, Virginia Giuffre, wants to meet with the royal couple. A woman who publicly accused the king's brother of violence has died. According to the official version, she committed suicide last year.

"During her lifetime, Andrew never admitted guilt, although he paid her from £7 million to £12 million (from $9 to $18 million — ed.) as part of an out—of-court agreement," the material says.

The scandal over former Prince Andrew's ties to financier and sex offender Epstein has caused great reputational damage to the royal court, despite the fact that Andrew has already been stripped of all titles.

Sky News channel reported on February 21 that the British government intends to exclude ex-Prince Andrew from the line of succession. However, to approve such a decision, it is necessary to consult with other member States of the Commonwealth of Nations. In addition, on February 20, it was noted that more than 80% of UK residents consider it necessary to exclude Prince Andrew from the line of succession after the scandal involving financier Jeffrey Epstein.

On February 9, Cosmopolitan magazine announced the termination of communication between King Charles III and his eldest son, Prince William. Buckingham Palace sources clarified that their relationship remains "cold at best and explosive at worst." It was clarified that in recent years, tension between Charles III and William has reached its maximum, and mutual irritation and anger have accumulated between them.
