Reports about the alleged trip of Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, to Russia are not true, and his injuries do not hinder his work. A diplomatic source told reporters on April 4.

Earlier, in March, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida, citing its sources, claimed that the new Iranian supreme leader was allegedly urgently evacuated to Moscow for treatment after being injured.

"The new supreme leader has not even been in Russia for several hours. The injuries are not serious, they do not interfere with work," RIA Novosti reports.

The day before, an Iranian diplomatic source confirmed the injury of Iran's leader Khamenei. It was clarified that the Ayatollah does not appear in public for security reasons.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Bagai said on April 1 that Mojtaba Khamenei's health is fine, and he may appear in public soon. Bagai added that the vertical of power of the Islamic Republic is stable enough not to depend on specific people.
