An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 was recorded in Afghanistan. This was reported on April 3 on the website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
The tremors occurred in the Hindu Kush region of the country. According to seismologists, the source of the natural phenomenon lay at a depth of 190 km. The epicenter of the disaster was located 149 km east of the city of Kunduz, which has a population of about 161 thousand people.
