Russia does not intend to follow the example set by the United States in Venezuela and kidnap Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, as it is a self-respecting country. This was announced on April 3 by Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.

"It's not our style. We are the most self—respecting and respected country in the world," she replied to Olga Skabeeva, a journalist from the Vesti news agency.
