A test drive of all breakthrough technologies in the field of public transport, from unmanned systems to cybersecurity, will be conducted on the federal territory of Sirius. The corresponding agreement was signed on April 3 by representatives of the site, Transmashholding and the University of Transport at the International Transport and Logistics Forum in St. Petersburg.

"We will train breakthrough personnel and show by example how our traditional limitations, such as the size of the Russian Federation, are transformed into advantages through the use of AI technologies, transport technologies, multimodality, mobility and, of course, security and cybersecurity," said Elena Shmeleva, Chairman of the Council of the Sirius Federal Territory.

A smart city model will also be created on the territory in order to implement all transport developments as soon as possible and bring them to the streets of Russian cities. It is noted that the digitalization of the entire industry will also be accelerated under the new agreement.

On March 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the movement of unmanned trucks along the M-12 Vostok highway during the opening ceremony of the transport industry facilities, which was held via video link. The project started with a simultaneous trip along the route of highly automated vehicles (VATS) of three domestic manufacturers of unmanned vehicles: Yandex, NAVIO and KAMAZ.
