Liksutov spoke about the new supply of modern electric buses LiAZ-6274 to Moscow

100 modern eco-friendly LiAZ-6274 machines have been delivered to the operating sites of Mosgortrans, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry.

"We continue to update the rolling stock of urban transport to improve the quality of passenger service, as instructed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Modern equipment with improved characteristics is coming to the capital. Eco-friendly Russian-made LiAZ-6274 electric buses replace buses on existing routes. In total, 570 cars of this model are already operating in the city," Liksutov added.

Electric buses have been operating in Moscow since 2018. Since 2022, improved equipment has been supplied to the capital. These electric buses have adaptive interior lighting that changes from a cold shade to a warm one during the day. The range increased from 40-50 km to 80-90 km.

In 2025, electric buses of the new generation KAMAZ-52222 entered the routes. The storage area has increased by 15%, places for hand luggage have appeared, the design of the doors has changed — light strips with an indication of opening and closing have been placed on them. The climate system has become more efficient.

All electric buses have USB slots for charging phones, media screens with information about the nearest stops, a folding ramp, driver call buttons and special seats for passengers with limited mobility, digital validators near the doors for paying for travel.

According to Deptrans, replacing one bus with an electric bus reduces carbon dioxide emissions by more than 60 tons per year.
