Sergunina announced the new season of the Theater Boulevard Festival

Applications for participation in the third International Open Festival "Teatralny Boulevard" will be accepted in Moscow on April 11. Russian and foreign artists, professional troupes, and creative university groups will be able to join, Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina said.

"This summer, the capital will once again host a large-scale festival of theatrical art. In 2025, it attracted more than 1.5 million viewers and became one of the main urban cultural events," Sergunina said.

The opportunity to fill out the online form will be open until June 30. Potential participants will need to tell about significant achievements and wishes for the stage, attaching a video announcement and a complete recording of the production.

In 2026, the All-Russian Marathon Festival "Russia — Theater — Society", dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theatrical Figures, will be held within the framework of the Theater Boulevard. Productions, exhibitions, workshops and creative meetings will be prepared for Muscovites and tourists. Participants of the festival of student performances "The First Plan" will also present their programs to visitors. The young talents selected by the jury from the regions of Russia will have a chance to prove themselves.

Last year, Theater Boulevard lasted 92 days and became the longest-running theater festival in the world. More than 3,000 Russian and foreign artists from 300 theaters performed on the streets of the capital. In total, over 1,000 productions have been prepared, ranging from classical dramas and musicals to puppet shows.

In the two years of its existence, the festival has received about 20 awards. In particular, in November 2025, he was awarded the "Brand of the Year in Russia" award in the categories of "Services in the field of culture and art" and "Services in the field of event management".

Teatralny Boulevard is a part of the citywide Summer in Moscow project. Its concept is based on the fact that holidays in a modern metropolis can and should be useful.
