The name of the new domestic car brand Jeland was registered in the Russian Federation

The Jeland trademark has been officially registered in Russia. Information about this appeared on the website of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 2.

The trademark was registered on April 2 according to the "automotive" 12th class of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICTS). The copyright holder is not specified in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated September 2, 2024.

Cars will be produced in Russia under the Jeland brand at the former GM plant in Shushary, St. Petersburg. A prototype of one of the models was shown to the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, at the end of March, and the city administration published footage of the car.

As reported on April 2, the first car body of the new Russian brand Jeland was painted at the automobile plant of the AGR holding in Shushary, which underwent a complete technical re-equipment. The fact that the first Jeland car body was welded at the event was reported on March 20.

The Jeland brand was developed by AGR Holding and China's Defetoo, and was announced on February 3. The start of production of Jeland vehicles is scheduled for the first half of 2026. This is their second project after the Tenet brand, whose cars are produced in Kaluga. The third brand will be Tenet Plus.
