The Teresa Durova Theater will present the musical "The Flying Ship" in Grozny for the first time.

In April, the Moscow musical and drama Theater of Teresa Durova, with the support of the theater's General Partner, VTB Bank, will come on tour to the city of Grozny for the first time and present its main hit to the residents of the Chechen Republic. The Flying Ship will land on the stage of the Lermontov State Russian Drama Theater. The tour will become a highlight of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, announced by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, and will serve to strengthen national accord, friendship, as well as preserve cultural traditions, languages, and historical memory.

The musical "The Flying Ship" is the hallmark of the Teresa Durova Theater. A domestic production in the best traditions of Broadway shows. This is the first stage version of the cult Soviet cartoon of the 70s of the same name, on which more than one generation of Russians grew up. Since its appearance in 2010, the musical has gained popularity, which has not subsided — the screenings are always sold out.

"The Flying Ship" is a wonderful tale about love and the difficulties overcome on the way to cloudless happiness. Who hasn't dreamed of building their own flying ship, which eventually became a symbol of success, a better life and self-realization?!

Director Teresa Durova created a world filled with wonders and magic, beauty and humor on stage. There are characters familiar from childhood: the capricious tsar's daughter Zabava, a chimney sweep in love with her, Hedgehog Grandmothers with fervent ditties, the greedy merchant Polkan and the Water, who masterfully plays the saxophone. And, of course, there are songs by Maxim Dunaevsky based on the poems of Yuri Entin, which give an atmosphere of incredible celebration. Especially for the Teresa Durova Theater, these authors have written eight new hits to those that everyone remembers thanks to the cartoon.

The play "The Flying Ship" is the winner of the theatrical award of the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper, the nominee of the Golden Mask Award in 2012 in 5 categories. He was enthusiastically received by the audience in St. Petersburg and Perm, and became the decoration of the Theatrical March and Bright People festivals in Moscow, Theatrical Spring in Krasnogorsk, and Golden Turnip in Samara.

The screenings will take place on April 10 at 18:30 and on April 11 at 16:00.
