The head of the medical center in Wellington, New Zealand, Shane Dunphy, sent the American embassy in New Zealand a bill for $1,597 for gasoline, which was how much the fuel cost for the clinic's doctors. This was reported on April 2 by the British newspaper The Guardian.

Dunphy pointed out that the United States is obliged to cover the bill, since their actions in Iran have led to a shortage of gasoline and an increase in fuel prices. In the letter, he stressed that the bill must be paid off within seven days.

The head called on other citizens and companies to send their gas bills to the US Embassy, calling it an act of principle. In New Zealand, the cost of gasoline has increased significantly, exceeding $3 per liter, so Washington should be responsible for this. According to Dunphy, "the whole world should point the finger at the United States and say that they must fix what they have done."

As the newspaper Le Figaro reported on March 30, in France the average price of diesel fuel is approaching €2.2 (more than 205 rubles) per liter, which was the highest value since 1985. The government will allocate €50 million in emergency financial assistance for April for small and medium-sized enterprises in the road transport sector, as fuel accounts for 25% of their budget.

In the United States, on March 29, fuel prices at Washington gas stations exceeded $5 per gallon (about 109 rubles per liter) due to the conflict with Iran. The cost of regular gasoline in the city reaches $ 5.09 per gallon, and diesel — $ 5.59 per gallon (119 rubles per liter). According to the American Automobile Association, the national average price is $3.97 per gallon (85 rubles per liter) — almost $1 more than a month ago, when it was $2.98 per gallon (63.8 rubles per liter).
