The UK has completed an investigation into the case of Pussy Riot member Tolokonnikova

The investigation of the criminal case against Pussy Riot band member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) has been completed. This was reported on April 2 in the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia.

"The investigation of a criminal case against a foreign agent has been completed in the Krasnoyarsk Territory," the publication says in the MACH messenger.

It is noted that a member of the group has been charged in absentia under Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the procedure for the activities of a foreign agent committed by a person after bringing him to administrative responsibility").

According to investigators, Tolokonnikova repeatedly posted posts in the messenger without appropriate labeling. The message stated that the staff had collected enough evidence. The criminal case has been sent to the prosecutor's office, which must approve the indictment. After that, he will be referred to the court for consideration on the merits.

The criminal case against Tolokonnikova was initiated in March 2023, the reason for it was her posts on social networks. At the end of that month, the Russian Interior Ministry put her on the federal wanted list. The Ministry of Justice included Tolokonnikova in the register of foreign agents on December 30, 2021.

In early November 2023, the Babushkinsky Court in Moscow refused to arrest a Pussy Riot member in absentia, thus rejecting the request of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation. Later, on November 21, the Moscow City Court overturned the district court's decision against Tolokonnikova to refuse arrest in absentia and ordered her to be detained in absentia for two months. Tolokonnikova was put on the international wanted list on January 30 of this year.
