In the Belarusian fast food restaurant chain "Mak.buy" (Mak.by They renamed the Americano coffee drink "Nashe kava" ("Our coffee"). This was reported on April 2 by the Sputnik news agency.

The publication notes that the idea of replacing this name with a Belarusian one was approached by President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko to the head of the Victoria Danko chain, who chose drinks during a visit to one of the restaurants and preferred Americano. He suggested writing the old name in parentheses under the new one at first, so that there would be no confusion, but agreed with Danko's proposal to replace the name "Americano" with "black coffee" first, and only then with the Belarusian equivalent.

Lukashenko, having visited one of the restaurants "Mak.buy," instructed his first Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov to invite US representatives to the Belarusian McDonald's, where dishes are prepared only from local products. Talking to the network's employees, he asked about their job satisfaction. They, in turn, reported that they had hardly noticed any changes after the rebranding.
