In the Lipetsk region, the house where writer Leo Tolstoy spent his last days will be restored. The historic building is located in the village of Leo Tolstoy.

The State Museum-Reserve of Leo Tolstoy allocated 89.6 million rubles for these purposes. The institution held a tender for restoration work to preserve windows of federal significance.

The initial cost of the contract was 91.5 million rubles. The winner was the company that offered to complete the work for an amount slightly exceeding 89.6 million rubles.

According to GOROD48, all activities should be completed by mid-August 2027.

The building is located in the village of Lev Tolstoy in the Lipetsk region, where the Astapovo station of the Ryazan-Ural Railway used to be. In this house in 1910, the writer spent the last seven days of his life.

The complex of station buildings, including the station, the Trinity Church and residential buildings, has already been restored.

Earlier it was reported that a new stadium will be built in Yelets, Lipetsk region, on the territory of the Victoria Sports and recreation complex. The current stadium and all its equipment with a TRP playground and a football field are being dismantled near the sports complex. Next, the contractor will have to carry out land work, build a new football field and stands, a hockey box and locker rooms. Sports equipment will be installed on the territory, a workout area will be equipped, and warm-up tracks will be set up. The project also includes engineering works, driveways, landscaping and landscaping.
