Usoltseva's son will continue to search for the missing family after the snowfall
Irina Usoltseva's son Daniil Batalov said that he plans to resume the search for his relatives who disappeared during a hiking trip as soon as the snow melts.
"As soon as the weather permits, the snow will come down, I will continue the search," he told TASS.
Batalov also said that in the near future he does not plan to file a statement to the court declaring his relatives dead, adds "Газета.Ru ".
The loss of the Usoltsev family in the Minsk Loop area became known at the end of September 2025, when they were heading to Mount Pinocchio. Over 515 km of forest roads and 40 square kilometers of woodlands were explored in the search. The active phase of the search was completed on October 12, but the work continued in the format of point tasks, which were entrusted to certified rescuers.
The repeated search for the missing family became known on January 30. Serafima Choodu, a representative of the press service of the LizaAlert regional detachment, also said on January 19 that volunteers would return to the large-scale search for the Usoltsev family in the taiga of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the spring. The timing of the onset of climatic spring in the Krasnoyarsk Territory varies by region and generally falls on the period from the end of the first decade of April to the end of May.
Kulesh, an experienced hiker, said on March 6 that the active search for the family would resume no earlier than May, after the snow had cleared. Before the greenery appears, it is necessary to carefully inspect the territory, as then the tracks may disappear again.
