Kicksharing companies have been restricted in Lyubertsy

In Lyubertsy, the work of electric scooter rental companies was limited. This was announced on April 1 by the head of the city district, Vladimir Volkov, in the Telegram channel.

"We decided to limit the operation of electric scooter rental kicksharing companies throughout our district," he said.

The head of the district clarified that the ban applies to Lyubertsy, Dzerzhinsky, Tomilino, Kraskovo, Malakhovka, Oktyabrsky, Ostrovtsy and Mirny. The decision was made in order to take care of the safety of local residents.

"Last year alone, 18 accidents involving personal mobility devices were registered, out of the total number of victims — nine children aged 12 to 16 years. Unfortunately, one of these incidents is fatal for an adult," said Volkov.

Local residents also sent more than a hundred complaints about violations of parking rules for electric scooters. Personal mobility equipment (IMS) was thrown on lawns, in driveways of residential yards, and in pedestrian zones.
