HC Lokomotiv beat Spartak and reached the quarterfinals of the KHL playoffs

Yaroslavl Hockey Club (HC) Lokomotiv reached the quarterfinals of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs on April 1, beating Spartak Moscow with a score of 3:2.

Nikita Kiryanov scored goals for the winning team in the 32nd minute, Denis Alekseev in the 36th minute and Georgy Ivanov in the 43rd minute of the match. Danil Pivchulin and Nikita Korostelev scored for the Moscow club, hitting the opponent's goal in the 3rd and 28th minutes, respectively.

The final score in the series of up to four wins was 4:1 in favor of Lokomotiv. According to the results of the regular season, the Yaroslavl club took first place in the Western Conference, while Spartak finished the tournament on the eighth line of the standings.
