The police in Krasnodar are conducting an investigation into fraud, which resulted in the injury of a 70-year-old pensioner. The man lost 1.15 million rubles.

According to the victim, first he received a call allegedly from a former employer, and then from an "employee" of the Pension Fund. The second interlocutor asked me to dictate the code from the SMS message. After that, the elderly man received a notification about the hacking of his personal account on the Gosuslugi portal.

The scammers continued to communicate with the pensioner on behalf of the FSB. They threatened that the man would allegedly face criminal liability for aiding terrorists. The victim agreed to "declare" all his savings, writes KrasnodarMedia news agency. The Krasnodar resident gave 950 thousand rubles in cash to the courier, and also transferred a little more than 200 thousand rubles from his wife's account using the banking details dictated by the scammers.

In Tula, a 78-year-old woman gave more than 3 million rubles to fraudsters. The pensioner believed that she needed to "declare" her savings.
