Truck traffic was restricted in the south of the Amur region
In the south of the Amur region, truck traffic was restricted on regional and inter-municipal roads. Such measures are introduced to protect the road surface in the spring.
The ban applies to vehicles weighing more than 12 tons. Exceptions are provided for vehicles with important loads, municipal and road equipment, as well as agricultural machinery that are involved in field work. This is reported by PriamurMedia news agency.
The regional Ministry of Transport explained that heavy machinery deforms the road surface in the spring. Restrictions are imposed to preserve asphalt. In the south of the Amur region, they have been in effect since April 1, in the north, restrictions will come into force on April 15.
Control over compliance with restrictions is assigned to stationary weight and size points and mobile complexes. The fine for violation ranges from 250 to 400 thousand rubles.
