- The expert noted the transition of the labor market to digital resumes with proven skills
The Russian labor market is moving to a new model for evaluating candidates, where proven competencies in digital format play a key role, rather than traditional resumes. This was announced to Izvestia on April 3 by Andrey Vetoshkin, General Director of Gazprom ID Operator LLC.
According to him, the transformation is due to a shortage of personnel, increasing competition and the active introduction of digital HR tools. In these circumstances, the classic resume is increasingly perceived as a source with limited reliability, especially in mass recruitment.
"Employers are increasingly faced with the discrepancy between the stated and actual skills of candidates. Hiring mistakes are expensive for businesses: on average, closing a vacancy in 2025 costs about 12.1 thousand rubles for working specialties and 50.6 thousand rubles for office employees. With high turnover, the annual costs of companies can reach 1-1.5 million rubles," the expert said.
Vetoshkin stressed that digital resumes with proven skills can increase the transparency of hiring, speed up the selection of candidates and reduce the impact of subjective factors. The greatest interest in such solutions is shown by IT companies, the financial sector, industry and government agencies.
For job seekers, the digital format is becoming a professional reputation management tool. It allows you to capture real achievements, project participation, and learning outcomes, forming a more accurate competence profile. This is especially important for young professionals and employees with project experience.
The expert also pointed to the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in recruitment. Algorithms are already being used to evaluate candidates and predict their effectiveness, and the quality of their work directly depends on the reliability of the data. According to him, the implementation of such solutions makes it possible to reduce the time required to close vacancies by 25-40% and improve the accuracy of recruitment.
According to Vetoshkin's forecast, by 2026, digital competence profiles may become the basic standard of the labor market. There is already an increase in demand for digital skills, and the number of vacancies with AI and digital requirements has increased by 60-70% over the year.
He added that the development of digital profiles creates a new infrastructure of the labor market, increases its transparency and allows for more efficient planning of personnel and educational policies.
Maria Agapova, HR manager of the Solar Staff freelance automation service, told Izvestia on January 27 that the shortage of professional skills is becoming one of the key factors determining the development of the labor market in the coming years. According to her, this trend is confirmed by global forecasts: digitalization, the introduction of artificial intelligence and automation are changing the requirements for specialists faster than the market has time to adapt to them.
