Six victims of the explosion at Nizhnekamskneftekhim in Tatarstan are in serious condition. This was announced on April 1 by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

"The condition of six victims in Nizhnekamsk is assessed as serious today, the rest are in a moderate condition," the report says.

It is noted that 10 more victims were taken to hospitals of the federal medical centers of the Ministry of Health of Russia and hospitals in Moscow. They were accompanied by medics. According to the agency, they "rescheduled the flight satisfactorily."

In addition, the other 12 victims are being treated in hospitals in Nizhnekamsk and Kazan. Outpatient care was provided to 49 citizens, the ministry concluded.

On March 31, the press service of Sibur in Nizhnekamsk reported that an explosion of a gas mixture had caused a fire at the Nizhnekamskneftekhim plant. On the same day, it was reported that the fire at the chemical plant in Nizhnekamsk was localized.

The press service of the organization reported that two people were killed and 72 injured as a result of the incident. 68 people applied for medical help. The course of the criminal investigation into the incident has been monitored by the central office of the Investigative Committee of Russia. Three days of mourning have been declared in Nizhnekamsk.
