Russians have the opportunity to check into hotels using biometrics

From April 1, Russians will be able to check into hotels and other accommodation facilities using a driver's license, biometrics or the Gosuslugi application. This was announced on April 1 by Sergey Krivonosov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Tourism (United Russia).

The pilot procedure will be in effect until March 2032 and is aimed at improving the quality of services, strengthening trust in the hotel sector and reducing the number of conflicts, TASS quoted Krivonosov as saying.
