The EC called on European countries to prepare for a prolonged energy crisis

European countries should prepare for an energy crisis due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. This was announced on March 31 by European Commissioner for Energy Dan Jorgensen during a speech after a virtual meeting of energy ministers of the European Union (EU) countries.

"We don't know how long this crisis will last. And since we do not know how deep it will be, we are also preparing various opportunities that are more similar to those that we used during the 2022 crisis," the Reuters news agency quoted him as saying.
