Khatib Dzhabrailov, a resident of the Republic of Dagestan, rescued four children and two adults from a house that was submerged during the flood. His mother Zuleikha Khairulayeva told Izvestia about this on March 31.

According to her, having learned about the danger to children, the man, despite the downpour, called a taxi and left to help the family. By the time of his arrival, the children were on the second floor of the house in a room where the windows were covered with bars. To save the minors, Dzhabrailov had to cut off the bars.

At the same time, Khairulayeva herself did not know if her son was alive, and only later it became clear that at that time he was also rescuing another drowning man from the water.

As a result of the heavy rains that hit the Republic of Dagestan, hundreds of cars, apartments and private houses were flooded, it was reported on March 29. According to a local resident, Tazhudin Akhmedov, a "global flood" is taking place in Dagestan, which neither manholes nor already filled drainage systems can cope with.
