Almost 600 million rubles will be spent on reconstruction of the square in Murmansk

Murmansk has identified a contractor for the reconstruction of the square in front of the Meridian Congress Hotel. This is reported by the Bi-port news agency with reference to the protocol of the auction results on the public procurement portal.

The name of the winning company does not appear in the document, the news agency notes. However, it is known that the contractor agreed to perform the work for 581.17 million rubles with an initial contract value of 669.1 million rubles. Thus, the price was reduced by almost 88 million.

The implementation of the entire project is divided into two stages. In the first case, the work will be completed from the date of signing the contract to October 31, 2026, in the second — from November 1 to June 1, 2027.

The project provides for the transformation of the square near the Meridian into a place of meetings and recreation. It is planned to install a rock garden, a canopy and a fountain. The space itself will be combined with the main square of the capital of the Arctic, the Five Corners Square, which has been undergoing reconstruction since the fall of 2024.
