UK opened a criminal case after an emergency at a factory in Nizhnekamsk

The Investigative Committee (IC) opened a criminal case after an emergency at a factory in Nizhnekamsk. This was reported on March 31 in the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan.

On the same day, the mayor of Nizhnekamsk, Radmir Belyaev, announced that localization of the ignition source had begun on the territory of the Nizhnekamskneftekhim PJSC plant in Tatarstan, which was engulfed by fire. The press service of SIBUR stated that a malfunction of the equipment was the preliminary cause of the fire. Later it became known that one person was killed and another 50 were injured in various degrees of severity as a result of a malfunction of the equipment and a subsequent fire at the enterprise.
