Russia does not recognize the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), so the conclusions of the court on the case of historian Yuri Dmitriev are irrelevant. This was announced on March 31 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"We do not recognize this decision, therefore, answering your question, I can answer concisely — no, the ECHR decisions do not matter," he said at a briefing.
