President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, who proposed the idea of an Easter truce, would have been better off making a decision to finally stop the conflict and end it. This was announced on March 31 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"We have not seen a clear formulated position on the Easter truce from the statements of Zelensky that we have read. As always, he talked about his willingness and desire to agree to a truce, even if it was Easter. We repeat once again that Zelensky must take responsibility to make a decision on peace, not a truce," the Russian president's spokesman said at a briefing.

Peskov noted that the dynamics on the fronts indicate that Russian troops are moving forward everywhere: faster in some areas, slightly slower in others. But this is happening all along the front line, which is confirmed not only by Russian experts, but also by foreign ones.
