The capital has started accepting applications for the competition "The best implemented project in the field of construction," Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in the MACH messenger.

The competition is open to project authors who work in construction organizations. The permit for the commissioning of the facility is to be issued in 2025. Applications are accepted until May 31.

The two main "Projects of the Year" will be determined by the city competition commission and the residents of the capital in the "Active Citizen". The winners in 13 separate nominations will also be selected during the competition. The award ceremony will take place on the eve of Builder's Day.

Last year, among the projects that won the competition were seven stations of the Troitskaya metro line and the Potapovo station of the Sokolnicheskaya Line; a multi—purpose sports complex on the territory of the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain; as well as the new building of the Tretyakov Gallery on Kadashevskaya Embankment.

The competition has been held since 2000. Its purpose is to encourage projects that create convenient public spaces, transport and social infrastructure.

Earlier in March, Sobyanin spoke about the active application of innovations developed by Moscow companies in the construction sector, which make it possible to continue implementing projects or better control their cost. According to the mayor, the "colossal volume of construction" requires the introduction of new technologies, "without which many projects will simply "stand up" or turn out to be excessively expensive." The creators of modern developments are, in particular, members of the Moscow Innovation Cluster and graduates of the Academy of Innovators and Innovator of Moscow programs, he added.
