Last year, the share of the US dollar in global foreign exchange reserves reached a historic low, amounting to 56.77%. This became known on March 30 from the data of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
In 2025, the total foreign exchange assets of central banks increased by 6.5% to $13.1 trillion. This has also become a historical record for the entire time that the IFF has provided reports since 1995.
"At the same time, the share of the US dollar from this volume last year was 56.77% against 58.52% in 2024. This is the lowest level in history," RIA Novosti reports.
