An Egyptian vessel has begun towing a damaged Russian gas carrier.
An Egyptian vessel has begun towing the Russian gas carrier Arctic Metagaz, which was damaged in an attack off the coast of Libya. This was announced on March 30 by the official representative of the Libyan Committee for Emergency Situations dealing with the incident with the Russian ship, Khaled Ghulam.
"In recent days, the operation has been facing a number of difficulties due to adverse weather conditions. In particular, the tow rope broke two days ago, which complicated the process. The operation is currently ongoing, remaining technically challenging," Ghulam told the TASS news agency.
