On March 30, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the liberation of Lugovskoye settlement in the Zaporizhia region by the Russian Army.

The published footage shows how the Russian military is hitting vehicles and military equipment of the Ukrainian army, striking enemy positions and planting the Russian flag.

It is noted that Lugovskoye was liberated by soldiers from the Far East of the 1198th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 35th Army of the Vostok group of forces. During the fighting, a defense area of over 7 square kilometers was taken under control. In addition, more than two platoons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were destroyed and about 150 buildings were cleared.

The ministry added that the liberation of this settlement allowed the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to significantly improve the tactical situation in the relevant sector of the front.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian military had liberated the settlements of Novoosinovo in the Kharkiv region and Lugovskoye in the Zaporizhia region. In the area of the Vostok group, the formations of the assault, three airborne assault brigades, five assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade were defeated. The enemy lost more than 275 military personnel, two armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles, an artillery piece and a warehouse of materiel.
