The Art Russia Contemporary Art Fair will be held in Moscow's Gostiny Dvor from April 2 to 5. It was founded by Vadim Lobov, President of the Synergy Corporation, and Elizaveta Frolova, an art critic.

The exhibitors will be more than 100 independent artists and galleries from different countries, which have been curated from several thousand applications. The stands will feature paintings, sculptures, graphics, photography and interior items.

"The participation of international artists and galleries in the Art Russia fair is not just an expansion of the geography of the event, but an important contribution to the development of cultural dialogue. Thanks to the foreign participants, the audience gets the opportunity to get acquainted with artistic traditions and modern trends from different parts of the world. Such cooperation strengthens international relations in the field of art and creates a solid foundation for long—term partnerships between creative communities," said Vadim Lobov, co-founder of the fair.

The works are diverse both in their conception and in the cultural context of their creation. For example, the KASUGAI Gallery will present works by contemporary Japanese artists such as Nishinaka Yukito, Hiroo Amano and Nishimoto Yuki, which are united by a common theme of material memory. The figure of the artist in them acts as an interlocutor who accepts and directs the inner logic of matter. The final images are not an end in themselves, they are born as a result of a sensitive disclosure of the potential of the material, be it fragile glass, ancient wood or laconic ink.

The geography of participants from the Robineau Academy (RA) covers America and Asia. They work at the intersection of tradition and technology, creating exhibitions that resonate with the spirit of the times. The gallery's curatorial practice is based on the belief that art should develop in dialogue with the outside world.

From the USA, the stand features sculptures by James Jean exploring the endurance of the body and its connection to the earth and memory. From Malaysia— the graphics of Mohamed Loan, which turn the painstaking work of writing into a reflection on architectural forms and heritage.

The oldest and largest gallery in Russia for the art of Japan, China and Korea, Eurasia, has been in existence since 1991. As part of the fair, she presents works by Japanese and Chinese artists, as well as master ceramists. They work on the basis of fundamental academic knowledge and present the work in a modern, relevant reading.

Visual&visionary art consulting specialists will present a group project bringing together artists from Europe and Asia. The exhibition is dedicated to portrait as one of the key forms of modern artistic expression. It is perceived as a space for the projection of identity, cultural code, collective and personal traumas, social roles and media images.

Visual & visionary's works demonstrate how, in the context of globalization, portrait becomes a hybrid genre: between Eastern and Western visual traditions, between painting, animation and digital culture, between intimate expression and a mass image.

Visitors to the fair will find an updated format of the business program: not just discussions and lectures, but full-fledged sections in areas including contemporary art, cinema, dance, photography, architecture, literature, music, design and theater. Foreign experts will also take part in the forum part. For example, among the speakers of the discussion "Cultural Diplomacy: Art without Borders" is the German film director and artistic director of the Talent and Success Educational Foundation, Hans-Joachim Fry.
