The Russian Foreign Ministry warned of an immediate response to a possible escalation from London.

Russia will immediately give the necessary response if the UK decides to escalate the situation regarding the revocation of the accreditation of an employee of the British embassy who is accused of intelligence activities. This was announced on March 30 in a statement by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"A warning has been given that if London escalates, the Russian side will immediately give the necessary response," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
