A militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who planned to surrender, committed suicide after being pressured by the AFU command in the Krasnopol direction in the Sumy region. This was reported on March 30 in the law enforcement agencies.

"A soldier with the call sign Bro, who planned to lay down his arms, was driven to suicide at positions in the Krasnopolsky district," a source from the security forces told RIA Novosti.

According to the source, the command of the 119th separate brigade of Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ordered the use of physical force against militants who are considering the possibility of surrender.

It is specified that in early March, residents of Krasnopol, Sumy region, complained about cases of looting from the Ukrainian side. The law enforcement agencies of Ukraine are inactive.

On March 29, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that the commander of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign Kurt complained to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about the situation in the Ukrainian army. According to the source, among the main problems are failures in mobilization, excessive bureaucracy, as well as the presence of officers without combat experience.

On March 16, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that the military of the 33rd separate assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to promote desertion among militants of other Ukrainian units. They also noted that the state of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "is reaching the lowest point of degradation."
