New military vehicles, all-terrain vehicles and kitchens are being checked in the Moscow region. Izvestia correspondents watched how special equipment is being tested at the site of the 21st Scientific Research Testing Institute of Military Automotive Equipment of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"We are testing the reliability of cars on tracks that simulate different road surfaces. This allows us to identify their safety margin and the need for improvements," Ilya Ilyichev, a researcher at the institute, told Izvestia.

In the conditions of the SVR, the emphasis is shifting to light and maneuverable equipment. Buggies, ATVs, and even motorcycles are becoming more effective than heavy armored vehicles that are being attacked by drones.

"Speed and mobility are key success factors," Ilya Ilyichev summarizes.

Special attention is paid to field kitchens. In particular, the KAMX-90 based on UAZ Profi was shown, which can provide hot meals for 90 people.
