Ships of the Russian Pacific Fleet entered the port of Jakarta

A detachment of ships of the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet has arrived on a business visit to the port of Tanjung Priok in Jakarta, Indonesia. This was reported by RIA Novosti on March 29.

The squad included the corvette "Gromky", the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky submarine, as well as the tugboat "Andrey Stepanov". In the Indonesian capital, the sailors were met by representatives of the Russian Embassy in Indonesia and the command of the local maritime region. The Indonesian side stressed that the friendly visit of the Russian fleet is an honor for Jakarta.

As part of the business visit, Indonesian Navy personnel and local residents are scheduled to visit the ship. Next week, Russia and Indonesia intend to hold joint maneuvers, during which the ships will work out interaction and communication.

The Russian President also noted cooperation in the field of military-technical cooperation and the growth of tourist flow between the countries.

On March 25, a detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet consisting of the corvettes "Perfect" and "Sharp" arrived at the port of Chittagong in the People's Republic of Bangladesh with a business call. Representatives of the republic's Naval Forces and employees of the Russian Embassy met the Russian military sailors at the pier.
