The vice-mayor of Chelyabinsk, Alexander Astakhov, is suspected of abuse of power with an amount of damage amounting to 150 million rubles. This was announced on March 28 by a source of Izvestia.

According to the source, the head of the Housing and Communal Services department of the regional administration, Vadim Khramtsov, was detained in this case. It is assumed that we are talking about the conclusion of contracts between the companies of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "POVV" and a commercial organization for the performance of repair work.

It is noted that a criminal case has been opened against the accused. Searches are also being conducted at the places of residence of the defendants.

Astakhov's detention became known earlier that day. He was appointed to the post of deputy head of the city for urban development in 2019.
