Opponents of the meeting between Russia and the United States want the conflict in Ukraine to continue. This was announced on March 28 by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries.
"Warmongers are attacking the meeting of US and Russian parliamentarians because they want the conflict in Ukraine to continue, and they are afraid of any American-Russian dialogue," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
