On March 27, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak instructed authorized persons during a meeting on the situation on the domestic market of petroleum products to prepare a bill prohibiting the export of gasoline and diesel fuel from Russia from April 1.
"Novak instructed the Ministry of Energy to prepare a draft resolution banning the export of gasoline from April 1, 2026," a statement on the government's website said.
