Europol conducted a special operation against the Scottish drug gang
The pan-European police department conducted a special operation to eliminate a Scottish criminal group that was allegedly involved in drug trafficking. This was reported by Reuters on March 27.
"This gang is known for using violence to establish control over the territory and protect their criminal activities. Investigators believe that she maintained control over some parts of the United Kingdom of Great Britain through intimidation, revenge and organized violence related to drug trafficking," Europol said.
They also noted that law enforcement officers from Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom participated in the operation to curb the group's activities, during which 13 people were detained.
On February 10, European Police investigators uncovered a criminal group involved in cocaine smuggling from South America to Iceland. According to the agency, couriers transported drugs to Iceland in their luggage in a hidden way or by "swallowing packages with a prohibited substance."
