The Union of Car Service Stations explained the decrease in tire prices in the Russian Federation

The Russian tire market in 2025-2026 remains under strong oversupply pressure, which is observed primarily in the Asian product segment. This led to a decrease in retail prices, Ilya Plisov, a member of the board of the Union of Car Service Stations of Russia, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta on March 27.

According to him, little-known brands of the middle and low price range stand out, some of which have fallen in price by 10-20%. Among them are tires of such brands as Tracmax, Goodride, Triangle, Landspider, Leao, Antares, Hifly, RoadX and Fortune.

The decrease in the average price of a summer tire for passenger cars was confirmed by the CRPT (Operator of the Honest Sign marking system). According to him, from January to March 2026, the price decreased by 7% (from 6.9 thousand to 6.4 thousand rubles). compared to the same period last year. During this period, sales of summer tires increased by 41% in physical terms and by 30% in monetary terms.

Chinese manufacturers account for 75% of tire imports

Prior to that, on March 19, Dmitry Akzholov, head of the Marshall auto parts brand, criticized Chinese car tires. According to him, Chinese car tires can fail in difficult road conditions. Their use is a compromise and savings on safety, which is due to poor grip on wet asphalt, according to test results, and rapid wear.

On March 13, the National Agency for Industrial Information (NAPI) reported that summer tires of the non-premium price segment for passenger cars fell in price in Russia by 8.5% over the year. So, if in February 2025 the average price of a permanent summer tire was 10.7 thousand rubles, then in February 2026 it was 9.8 thousand rubles.
