Rossotrudnichestvo called the attack on the Russian House in Prague a terrorist act.
The attack on the Russian House in Prague is a planned terrorist attack against Russian property. This was announced on March 27 by Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo.
"We perceive this as a terrorist attack against our Rossotrudnichestvo center, against Russian property. It was a planned, targeted attack," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to him, the attackers wanted to cause maximum damage and aimed at a certain part of the building. According to him, the impact fell on the part where the library with a large amount of fuel is located.
Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian Embassy are in contact with local authorities to search for criminals, Shevtsov assured.
Earlier that day, Igor Girenko, head of the Russian House in Prague, reported an attack on a cultural center that took place on the evening of March 26. Molotov cocktails were thrown at the building. According to Girenko, the date of the attack was not chosen by chance, as an event was scheduled for Friday in honor of the end of the Days of Russian Culture. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, in an interview with Izvestia, called the attack a barbaric act.
