The gross domestic product (GDP) of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) increased by 1.7% by the end of 2025. This was announced on March 27 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Shymkent.

"Despite the difficult external environment and increasing turbulence in global markets, the gross domestic product of the union increased by 1.7% last year. This is still higher than in the European Union," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Mishustin is in Kazakhstan on a working visit, which runs from March 25 to March 27.

Mishustin said on February 25 that Russia continues to develop despite all attempts from the outside to interfere with this process, including sanctions pressure and tariff wars. According to him, despite the difficult situation, the economy has maintained positive dynamics: Russian GDP increased by 1% in 2025, and in three years its growth exceeded 10%, which corresponds to the global level.
