On March 26, Republican Congressman Andy Ogles supported the development of dialogue with Russia and the desire to discuss peace and bilateral relations.

"Today, for the first time in almost a quarter of a century, five members of Congress (representatives of both parties) met with five members of the Russian State Duma to discuss peace and bilateral relations," the statement said.

Ogles added that the dialogue on the pursuit of peace and economic opportunities between the delegations continues.

The head of the State Duma's International Affairs Committee, Leonid Slutsky, announced on the same day that his first deputies Svetlana Zhurova and Vyacheslav Nikonov, Deputy Speaker Boris Chernyshov and other colleagues were part of the State Duma delegation to visit the United States. Chernyshov said before the start of the negotiations that parliamentarians from different parties of the State Duma would "deliver our truth" and protect the interests of the Russian Federation.

Zhurova later announced that Anna Paulina Luna, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and her colleagues may pay a return visit to Russia. In her opinion, Russian parliamentarians will be interested to see representatives from the United States in Moscow.
