In the Amur region, measures will be taken to regulate the number of foxes. This is due to an increase in the number of rabies cases.

According to PriamurMedia news agency, events are planned in Blagoveshchensk, Konstantinovsky, Tambov, Mikhailovsky and Seryshevsky districts. The captured foxes will be sent to a veterinary laboratory to check for rabies.

The total number of foxes in the region remains stable and does not cause concern. According to the accounting data of 2025, about 6.3 thousand predators live in the Amur region.

Experts remind us that one of the signs of rabies in foxes is the loss of fear of humans. Animals can enter populated areas and show unmotivated aggression.
