State traffic inspectorate to raid bike couriers in Moscow

From March 27 to March 29, Moscow will host the Bicycle Courier event, aimed at preventing offenses among delivery service providers. The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate announced this on March 26 in its channel in MAX.

As part of the raid, traffic inspectors will remind delivery workers to be more attentive on the road, be more respectful to pedestrians when moving along sidewalks, use protective equipment with retroreflective elements, and comply with the requirements of road signs and traffic lights.

Last time, the Bike Courier event was held in Moscow from February 27 to 28. During the raid, traffic inspectors compiled more than 2.7 thousand administrative materials for traffic violations against delivery service employees using personal mobility equipment.

On March 19, the Moscow Department of Transport announced that, together with rental operators, it was finalizing preparations for the new season of electric scooters and bicycles. It will be the ninth for electric scooter rentals, and the 13th for bicycles.
