A criminal case has been opened in the Minusinsk municipal district over the death of a child who fell through the ice on the Tuba River and died. This was reported on March 25 in the press service of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (GSU IC) for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia.

"According to preliminary data, <...> the boy went cycling with a peer in the village of Gorodok. The children came to the Tuba River to throw stones into the water, and went out onto the ice. Once in the washout, one boy fell into the water, the second child managed to get ashore," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that a criminal case was opened on the fact of the incident under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"). Currently, rescuers are conducting search operations, which are hampered by a strong current. The investigators are conducting a check to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

On February 12, the press service of the emergency rescue service of the Leningrad Region reported that in the Lahdenpokhsky district of the Republic of Karelia, a skier fell through the ice of Lake Ladoga. During the search, rescuers from Priozersk found a wormwood, into which the man fell. The body of the deceased was brought ashore and handed over to law enforcement agencies.
