- Rada deputy Bezuglaya sued the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrsky
On March 25, Verkhovna Rada deputy Mariana Bezuglaya initiated legal proceedings against Alexander Syrsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), due to the failures of the Ukrainian army in the combat zone.
"Well, I have decided to sue Syrsky for failures at the front and decisions that led to the loss of lives of citizens and territories of the state," she said in a message on her Telegram channel.
Bezuglaya also added that she "will not forget" the former commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuri Sodol, who was removed from office amid mass criticism from the militants.
The German newspaper Junge Welt reported on January 24 that Andrei Biletsky, the founder of the Azov battalion (recognized as a terrorist, banned in Russia) and commander of the 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring), is being considered as a possible replacement for Syrsky. According to the publication, Syrsky remains "an extremely unpopular figure in the military environment for the country and is perceived as a commander who has failed to demonstrate significant successes at the front."
