The plane carrying State Duma deputies landed at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. This was announced to Izvestia on March 25 by Alexey Chepa, First Deputy head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.

He added that the parliamentarians had flown to the United States for a visit. The delegation was headed by Deputy Vyacheslav Nikonov.

"[The visit is taking place] as part of the settlement of relations with the United States of America," Chepa explained.
