Fico stated that Europe is tired of Zelensky
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is making mistakes in his relations with the European Union (EU) countries and is starting to bother them. This was announced on March 25 by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico at a meeting with students.
"I think that <... Zelensky is making big mistakes in relation to the countries of the European Union. <...> Europe is already starting to get fed up with Zelensky," he said in a video posted on the official Facebook page (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
According to the Slovak Prime Minister, Zelensky is losing support, and this may complicate Ukraine's potential accession to the EU.
The Economist magazine noted on March 20 that the aggravation of geopolitical relations between Kiev and the European Union resembles a lovers' quarrel. The publication noted that the differences between Ukraine and the EU have become public knowledge: the parties demonstrate sharpness in communicating with each other and exchange accusations of blackmail.
A day earlier, Zelensky criticized the EU and the United States for their lack of support in the conflict in Ukraine. His complaints were related to the easing of anti-Russian sanctions and the protracted work on transferring €90 billion from frozen Russian assets to Kiev.
